抄録: We aimed to evaluate a course in which students at Tokyo Keizai University learn and practice giving presentations in English as a Foreign Language. We gathered research data by having the students respond to a questionnaire survey and by classroom observation. In this article, we report our research findings and conclusions. Tokyo Keizai University designated the presentation course as a required course for freshmen from 2006. After 3 years of experience and evolution in teaching the course, it was appropriate to assess how the students felt about the course and how well they progress. Our study confirms that the course does offer students an excellent learning opportunity. They show high levels of motivation and independent learning, and they gain confidence in speaking in English in front of an audience, which they themselves value as good preparation for their future careers.</description>
